Information You Send
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the third-party provider operating that result service. Quincy Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host may record routine technical logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand use of its pages. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Technical Data Is Used
It is used to operate the service, diagnose faults, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
The service links to Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, library, archive, and third-party search resources. Their separate policies control information sent to them. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by an outside provider.
Limited Sharing
Hosting and support providers process relevant server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection and keeps logs only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or stored account profiles to expose through this service.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.
Your Data Choices
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask to access, correct, or delete personal data a service holds. Massachusetts research did not identify a comprehensive consumer-privacy deletion statute governing every public record. Because this service keeps very little, a request generally involves searching the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Massachusetts, Norfolk County, or Quincy custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the responsible office.
Policy Changes
Any revision will appear on this page. Continuing to use the service after a posted revision means that you accept the updated policy.
